Charles Burke, a renowned interior and architectural designer, began his career in Los Angeles, CA. in the early seventies as President and Founder of California Sunset Furniture Manufacturing Corporation, designing and manufacturing furniture with a distinct California style.

Later, Charles Burke became founder and owner of several southern California design showrooms located in the heart of Los Angeles' interior design center -- Charles Burke Associates International Lighting & Furnishings Design Showroom and Starlight Lighting Manufacturing, an interiors lighting showroom and manufacturer.

Charles Burke has been a guest speaker at ASID national and regional conferences and has won several awards for his unique and imaginative design concepts. He achieved top award for furniture design and California Design 10 by the Pasadena Museum of Art as well as Best Original Design Award for his futuristic "Forecast Home" in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles County Fair.

Charles Burke has been an Affiliate Member of ASID since 1975 and a Professional Affiliate Member of NSID.

In addition to his numerous residential and commercial interior design projects, Charles Burke has provided artistic consultancy for several major Hollywood films.

His residential and commercial designs have been published in Florida Design feature editorial, Elle Décor feature, The Bee Publishing Company, CT. Home & Garden feature editorial , Interiors Magazine cover and feature for restaurant design, House Beautiful cover and feature editorial, Los Angeles Times Home Magazine cover, Playboy feature, Los Angeles Homes and Gardens feature, Designer's West cover, USA Today feature, Los Angeles Magazine feature, Architectural Digest feature.

Burke's work was selected for the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum Library of Design and is published in The Whitney Museum's, Sensuous Spaces by Sivon Reznikoff.
